Crap- what is going on- swollen face

I would agree. However in my case all birds run free all day and get locked up for the night.

So nice they can free range all day. Maybe have a look at the coop situation--that is where they breath all night long and if the coop lacks ventialtion, perhaps that is a contributing factor. Suseptability can be genetic by line and by individual bird.

Glad it all worked out.

I had a hen with the same thing and her face swelled but I never lanced it. I did start treatment early though. We put her on oral Baytril and due to her eye being affected, I treated it with triple eye ointment. I do believe she has some sight problems in that eye
But hasn't had a relapse yet. I believe it is a respiration problem and try to let mine free range as much as possible. Glad it all healed up.

I have it too
Needle dosen't work
Just cutting
I have 4 with same issue
I extract something like infection with knife
But the other two nothing but blood
So I haveto cut when it's big enough
My problem is those the that duccesfully dif extract infection are normal but small swollen is still there for almost 3 months
Can be eaten???
What about eggs?

I had 2 turkeys with this same problem. You can drain out the fluid with a syringe which will help some along with the tylan or Duamycin-10. I would wrap up my turkeys in a towel and insert the syringe at an angle into the swollen area and drain it out. It is basically drainage from the sinuses from what I have heard. Mine lived a long time with this problem. It seems to be pretty hard to get them over this or at least it took a while for me!! Good luck.
Did it have when you drained it thick clear mucus like stuff
