Got a question about chicken poop(aka crap

).

I was going to just throw it in my garden but been told that it will burn my plants. I don't have a compost and do not have an area in my backyard to start one

Will it burn my fruit trees or shurbs if I put it under that? Or what else can I do with it?

Sell it/give it away, maybe? Offer it on Craigslist for someone to come pick-up? (They used to do that at a university horse barn for manure...) Another thought is, if you have room for a decent sized trash can in your backyard, you can make "tea." Below is a link I tracked down for making chicken manure fertilizer tea...

I just put mine into the garden or around the fruit trees or roses. When it is fresh, it goes off to one side and sits there for a few months, then gets raked closer to the plant.

Me too Esp. in garden ,after garden season I load it up with POOP and till it under then let it rest and till now and the till it tkeep weeds down.After about 3 mo its ready...cva34

Just pile it up at the end of the garden. No big deal. In fall, after the garden is done, spread it evenly around. During the garden off season, you can just clean the coop and take it straight to various places in the garden and distribute it or put it around dormant trees, after their leaves are off in fall.

I've heard some say you can bury it in a hole away from plants or where you'd like to plant next year. I am composting in plastic garbage cans and its working well, so far.
