One of my 3-month old chicks isn’t walking well, looks like she’s crawling and mostly wants to lay down. She doesn’t look injured, this happened all of sudden. She’s eating and drinking and will crawl to move around. Any idea what this could be?

We might offer a more accurate guess if you would supply your location. You do realize people from all over the world post here?

Has it been very hot the last few days? What are you feeding? Look at the other chickens. Are any slower than normal? Fluffed up and not eating?

I have six, 15 week old chickens. Only one of them is walking low to the ground and laying down a lot. The others are fine. It’s eating and drinking but looks like it hurts to move.

She will shake it off eventually. Plus if it's her first time getting that much dirt on her she will learn to adjust the amount needed to clean her feathers.

All chickens experiencing first time dust bath experience that.

She’s done dirt bathing and so have the others. She’s having a difficult time standing up. She crawls from places to place. I tried feeling her wings and body but didn’t feel anything abnormal.

What do you feed including treats and supplements? Was she vaccinated against Marek's? Where in the world are you? Have you felt her legs and feet for any swelling or heat that might indicate unseen injury? Consider posting photos or a video.

@Tonyroo That;s an interesting scenario you describe.. having raised probably 1000 birds I've YET to see it.. maybe soil type matters.
