I just tried candling my button quail eggs from shelleyd2008 (day 4) and I had veining in 3 out of 4 of the lighter eggs! The dark ones were impossible to see, but I am excited that many of them made it through the hands of the PO who tried their hardest to crush the box marked Live Eggs Handle With Care

BTW, are there any predictions on chick color based on egg color?

ETA: The really light colored eggs normally come from one of my silver/ivory girls, I believe. I think those are the ones that hatch out white the most.

But it is really hard to say, they aren't like chickens when it comes to egg color.

Hi all, just wanted to let you all know that I recieved my very first RIR eggs in the mail today from Shelley2008, she did a great job of wrapping each egg in bubble wrap and putting them into a bubble wrap bag and surrounding them with wadded up newspaper, I did not lose one of the 15 eggs, great job Shelly, another happy customer, Lynn
