Oh yes, she is in with Mottleds now. I have been hatching from them for a few months now. Got some really nice kids growing up.

I got eggs from Susan last year--11 of 13 hatched (only 1 pullet, though!) I kept her and a cockerel, but lost her over the winter. They're nice birds!

Susan, I'll be watching for your next offer!

I am currently resisting bantams. All my facilities are set up for LF. I may have to give it a second thought though......

I thought the same thing, and then I got my first banties- Cochins. It was all over after that. I LOVE my big birds- 14# Orp roo is my biggest-

BUT... little bitty ones that coo to you and don't kill you with the feed bill are fabulous, too.

Then again, I'm insane and have more birds than I can count...probably near 200+...so you can't ask me. I'm a crazy chicken-lady hoarder!

Gosh, I know that problem! I have bantams but really would like some smaller ones and just won some booted bantam eggs! I have been wanting Porcelain D'Uccles for a while and now have to build pens for the booted bantams and some soon to come d'Uccles. Thank goodness the smaller pens are easier for me to build and set up. I love my LF but the bantams are so much easier to fit into things i can build. DH has to help with the LF pens most of the time. I got the land, might as well fill it up.
