Crazy-Broody Sumatra???

I have a hen, who I believe is a sumatra (we're not sure, she was in a group of "assorted bargain special" from McMurry Hatchery) Anyway, last summer, of our 50 chickens, she became the pet and my husband named her Mandy. She's friendly, pesty and suddenly very broody! I've been online doing some research to find out more about her, but can't quite find the answers to my questions! From what I find, Sumatra's are white egg layers but we have NEVER had anything but brown eggs in our nests. However, she is INSISTING on nesting right now! I haven't seen her leave the nest in the last week! I've give up and let her keep the 7 eggs she's collected under her (they're all brown - who knows who they belong to!) If anyone can shed some light on this topic, I would appreciate it!!!
