I'm glad to hear its not bugs. Just trying to help rule things out. Hopefully it's just the molt like other people suggested and they pull out of it I bet they'd love if you sat around for a while with treats like Memphis suggested.

Mine got a little way right before they started laying. I would just sit in a chair & hand feed them. Spend time with them. They should out grow it. Mine did. What breed are they ?

Hopefully. I have Rhode Island Reds, Americanas, and Barred Rocks.
