Crazy Colored Chicken

My ex-cockerel (8-10 months I think? He went to live with a neighbor who has since moved) would do his deed with all the ladies he could get, too, and if he saw another male come into his territory, he would literally chase him until he could mount the poor screaming rooster. I had one poor guy who would start screaming as soon as he say that brahma heading his way. It is one way (albeit less common than fighting) that the males express dominance over other males.

I have another pullet thats the same age that I got from the same guy, they act just the same....

I am seriously tempted but if I did win, I dont have room, and if I dont win you dont want my spare rooster, lol....so have to say no thanks. Have to concede yall know about a million more things about chickens as I do, and it probably is a roo, just sure is a surprise...

Ahhh Sorry but there is a reason they are acting the same, becuase they are, both roos

And yes, roos will usually mount anything they can catch, be it their hens they they are supposed to mount,, young pullets and cockerels, chicks, heck I've even seen them get frisky with the ducks a time or two and would have got a turkey hen to if she would stop running away from him.

I'd nearly bet my project lemon cuckoo Orps that the two pics you have shown are both young roos.
