Crazy duck help

I am just curious as to why they do this...


When i give my ducks fresh water my drake and one of my hens will get in the water and they will splash and all that good stuff. But after a few minutes she lays down flat all stretched out in the water and today she sis it on the ground and just quacked and quacked and my drake just bobbed his head...but when she lays down like that he "does his thing" and then he will run around in circles... why does she lay on the ground and why would he run in circles???I am just curious...

Hahaha.

All that stuff is normal duck mating behavior. They're nutso when the hormones are raging

I have a lot of young ones this season that are just coming into their own. It's crazy out in my yard right now.

Ha Ha , my two females do this to each other. Sometimes the wrong way round and sometimes across each other. So funny to see. The best bit is afterwards they just go crazy for a while running about and flapping and sometimes jumping into the pool. Great to see and funny to watch !
