Lots of good ideas being bounced around though so maybe very productive in the end!

what ? lol they like chicken poo? always stuck to the bottom of someones shoe?

I think the rules are still pretty simple. Offering 6 purebred eggs. You can swap once a week per breed you can offer. Make the end/beginning of the week at Midnight on Sunday. So you could theoretically offer your 6 Leghorns at 11:00PM on Sunday, and if someone took them, you could offer them again on Monday. It could get a bit complicated offering 2 or more breeds at the same time, but it could probably be done, as long as you kept track of what was taken in a given week. I still think we need to give 24 hours on any swap, since people interested in the swap will be checking in once a day, at least (ha!!), but sometimes can't check in until the evening, or the morning, or whatever.

Just my 2 cents here, I've been lurking here waiting for the 'right' eggs - I think the rules of this thread should be made ONLY by the originator. If you have suggestions, maybe PM the OP to do so. The last 4-5 pages or so are full of 'rules' that a few people want. Now this is just my opinion but if you dont like SIZ8003's thread, make your own with your own rules. Not trying to be mean but with all these people trying to take over this swap, just let it be, it will pick up as birds start to lay more steadily. Besides, who says there has to be a swap every minute anyway? So what if it stalls for the day, why are you in a rush?

LOL no, that is a juvenile photo of my mille fleur cochin roo. He was about four months old in that pic. Here he is all grown up. He is the only mille fleur I have right now. I am trying to make more, using mottled cochins... wish me luck. Anyhow, here is is as an adult, looks WAY different!

When and if they start to lay again, I will be sure to spread the love, You can be sure... Right now I have a mottled roo in with my mottled hens so if/when they start to lay they will be pure mottled, because that is what someone else wants. As soon as that order gets out, mr mille goes right back with his girls, (unless the mille x pullets start to lay, the he may be re-assigned for a few weeks to kick start that bunch. Either way, there should be plenty of eggs this summer for anyone interested, but no mille x mille, sorry. Sometimes it seems like you gotta donate a kidney to get into "the club" whichever club that is, the cool chicken club, at least it seems that way to me....
Sorry to de-rail the thread. Swap on people, as you were...
