Hey all! I just went out to collect our eggs and found this super-sized one along with our normal eggs. We've never seen anything like it and are super tempted to put it in the incubator. Any ideas? Double yolk, maybe? Thanks!

Weight it. If it's over 17 grams eat it instead. Double yolk eggs don't have sufficient oxygen space to support both chicks, and they usually die. Success would likely result in two damaged specimen.

Thanks for the advice! It weighed 13 grams but everything I read online said that double yolks will pretty much end in disaster. It's in the fridge now waiting for breakfast!

Thanks, I was curious about incubating double yolkers and what would happen... I won't be trying it ;)

No wonder I've never heard about any 'twin' chicks..
