Crazy neighbor stealing my chickens and my eggs

I was laughing........ and then was quite sad that all they had in the fridge were your chickens and eggs, and water from the water hose. They were probably poor or something and needed the food.
Sad yes, but being poor doesn’t make stealing okay.

What an insane story OP, sorry you had to go through that but glad they were caught.
We had a neighbor who tried to throw poisoned ham over the fence for our dogs when I was a kid. Not because they barked or anything, they just didn’t like dogs. We later found out they attempted to poison every dog in the neighborhood.
Some people really need a hobby, or a nice comfy padded room.

Oh my goodness! Funny yet sad! No crazy neighbors for me, but a co-worker had a neighbor throw a rock through his bedroom window. She had a knife and was telling him to let her in. Oh, but it gets better, Perry(the co-worker) apparently sleeps sky-clad! So he's standing there baring all to God and everybody while he's
calling the police because he worried about what she would do if he took his eyes off of her. The first thing the 911 operator tells him... "Well don't let her in.":lau
The woman is a schizophrenic who doesn't like taking her medication. She thought she could hear a baby in the house so she tried to break in.

My great-Grandpa had a chicken thief. He waited up one night and shot him with buckshot as he was running away. Great-Grandpa asked the town doctor’ “hey doc, you pull any buckshot out of anyone recently?” The doc said, “you know I can’t tell you that!” A few weeks later though, he sought out my Great-Grandpa to tell him his chicken thief had left town. Seems like chicken thievery was common 100 yrs ago but your story is likely never to happen to most of us, thank God!

Well it never ends, the crazy behavior that you can incounter from our fellow humans.
Makes me wonder the back story on these people.
Are they from a foreign country where this behavior in accepable.
Were they compleatly dependent on you for there food and water?
Transients?
Crack heads?
Space aliens?
Please let us know, this is fasinating.
Sorry about your chickens. Maybe a padlock on the door. Or some kind of human boobytrap!
Dont make it complicated they are simply thieves. Hopefully in your state chickens are classified as livestock and is a felony. Also if these are renters some states have laws assigning responsibility to landlord for failure to control tenants. Do what you must to protect your livestock!!

I have wonderful neighbors. They have a business where they rent to hunters, off-road racers (seasonal)they keep it very nice. One day in talking to her she said “oh you’ve got roosters now” I asked if people complained. She said no. One person said it made their experience More Country! LOL. When me and my husband both had back surgery her daughter would come on her ATV and spray my property for weeds. Been 2 years now and she still does. Just had to share a good neighbor story (now I have the theme song to Allstate stuck in my head) :gig
