I have a polish rooster and his ladies can't resist plucking his gorgeous locks. Is there an ointment or something I can do to stop them before he is bald? I live in oregon and the rain does not help with making his feathers look less like treats. I actually got a scissors and cut his plummage back to make it look less wormlike. He has a silly bouffant now, but maybe it will help?

Are your chooks are on a bare run, so there is nothing else to indulge in than aforesaid handsome roo? Perhaps you could try tossing them a few diversions? Say, apples.. cabbages... corn....squash...cooked pasta... bread... garden leftovers, etc.

Theyhave a very large run with lots of things to do. They are spoiled rotten with extra goodies. And they also get a few hours of complete range in my yard a day. So they shouldn't be bored.
