Shipped eggs are a gamble....no way around that. It's a fact that once they leave the seller's hands there are many variables that can occur during shipping and hatching that a seller has no control over.
I don't sell on ebay...only on here occasionally. When I'm selling eggs I am continually hatching from the same group of hens so I know fertility is good. I can be getting 100% hatches here at home but those I've shipped (and I do pack well) don't do nearly as well.
I've never expected or requested replacement eggs as a buyer because I'm well aware of the risks...nor do I offer them as a seller because of the variables that I have nothing to do with.
Well with this attitude I suggest you don't try. It would be like throwing your chickens (Feedback) to the wolves (buyers)
Ebay has accepted a "the buyer is always right" policy sorta like the customer is always right scenario. Meaning its the sellers responsibility untill it arrives to the buyer and the buyer is satisfied that it is as described.
No one is going to buy from a seller that would say "you would be lucky to get any chicks from my eggs after I mail them" When you buy used car parts from any kind of established buisness at selling car parts there is a window for which you can return the parts for a refund. Even though the seller has no idea if they are good or not. Its just good buisness practice.
That may work out just fine for you but I dont think it would work out to good if you were trying to make it more then a hobby. Sure its not your fault.... but its not the buyers either. Disclamers work in theory but only work in practice if there are no problems.
