4 RIR hens and a Americuana/EE roo. Had chickens since I was 5 (profile pic). Had Barred Rocks, Austarolps, and a RIR roo and then bred them. Had a fox attack and lost them all and got the RIR hens, and lost 2 to sickness.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining. I'm sorry for your losses. You lost some really good breeds. Australorps are my favorite standard breed; extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children, and now my granddaughter, made lap pets of them), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs. Easter Eggers are my granddaughter's (pictured in my avatar) favorites. She loves their colored eggs. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can.
