Ah ignore meI was replying to @Deenok pics. I apologize
Nope, but that's a huge comb for a two day old chick.
Do you use the word but as in... Leaning towards boy? Or is it literally useless attempting any judgement?Nope, but that's a huge comb for a two day old chick.
I considered buddying it up with my CLB. They are living separately - two separate hatches & 50 miles apart. Same age and only one to hatch. It could be a girl, it's definitely too early.
I'm just trying to familiarise myself with the comb sizes of day olds.
I would be interested to know what sex this one turns out. I would be inclined to think male, but that comb could completely slow down.
Love the baby combs. So cute.
Thank you, I have 18 birds total and of those I have 2 Roos. Yes she is my only ccl and in these pics she is 12 or 13 weeks. Now she is 21 weeks. ( I’ll get more recent pics lol ). Her name is saphron and she is lovely but she’s my 3rd smallest bird in the flock and her comb and wattles stayed small until 2 weeks ago and they grew a bit seemingly overnight. May I see pics of yoursYou have beautiful birds! Is the bird in pic #1 the same as pic #3? How old is that CCL? My CCL is 11 weeks old and is lacking wattles, has a small comb and no color. I have considered it a cockerel but now that it's 11 weeks old and has no pointy hackles or saddles, I'm a bit confused.
