I have a legbar hen with spurs as big as shown, and she is definitely the dominant hen. Thought she was a rooster at first...she keeps the other hens in line.
During and attack by a fox which I caught on surveillance camera, the fox caught her three times and tried to kill her, but she got away each time. She is my road warrior. Unfortunately, the fox killed ten other hens that day.
