Not to be too nit-picky-- but while on the subject of correctness and using correct references, the 'crested' has been dropped out of the breed's name some years ago.

This is also problematic - because when people refer to a Crested Cream Legbar it implies that there is a non-Crested one - which thee isn't. However, the Gold and Silver are both non-crested. HTH

Did you catch --- and this goes for all us Cream Legbar-interested folks...that I wrote that Crested was taken out of the name of the breed. KPenley gracefully identified the breed as Legbar and the VARIETY as Cream Legbar - or Cream -- IT has been a habit of many of us to refer to the Cream Legbar as a breed for a L-O-N-G time now -- and it is really a variety.

I suppose it would behoove us all to use more crisp and precise language ... LOL -- becuause {I'm loving that word behoove} -- okay back on track now --- if we speak with the APA they only understand their own language.... (and talk about only understanding their own language....try talking on the phone with the IRS)

I really need to start referring to the Cream Legbar as just a VARIETY of Legbar -- and I don't know how I will break my self of the habit. Maybe like some families did in the olden days - a 'cuss jar' and whenever anyone in the family cussed they had to put a quarter in the jar (back in the days when a quarter was a gallon of gas, a can of tuna etc. - so now a days it should be a fiver so one would 'feel the pain' )

I had family here from Texas ChicKat =)

I hope Texas has lots of room - California businesses have been relocating to Texas. A neighboring town is losing business revenue & families to Texas, moving corporate headquarters, etc. These are city folk, hope you keep your chicken rights.
