I should add that I had three CCL's to hatch and it was easy to see that I had one pullet. One was a problematic hatch and ended up dying, so I had two left, a pair. Months later I ended up posting a new picture because something seemed off with my CCL cockerel. Turns out, Freddie is a girl! If I was breeding, she would not be a good candidate to hatch eggs from. I know this does nothing to address your post, but I just wanted to share my experience. Freddie looked very much like a cockerel at hatch! In my personal opinion, unless you plan to keep them, I wouldn't hatch from any birds that are questionable at hatch, in an effort to preserve that special trait Either way, your chicks are adorable!

I would guess male. That's definitely a more confusing looking chick though, lol. Where did you order them from?
