I have a 4 year old cream legbar. Last spring/summer she was walking around like a penguin.. went away when it started to get colder out and she was walking fine no longer has a penguin stance.

Now as the weather is getting nicer and warmer she’s walking around like a penguin again and extremely swollen. What could this possibly be? She hasn’t laid an egg in way over a year.

I'd give her some Extra Calcium for 5 days to see if she's able to expel and egg or other material like Lash.
Give 1 Calcium Citrate+D3 tablet once daily, just pull down on her wattles and pop the pill into the beak. Let her swallow.

Her abdomen is swollen, does it feel like it's fluid filled? IF she has the symptom Ascites (Water Belly), sometimes draining the fluid can bring short term relief. The underlying condition that is causing the fluid to accumulate would still exist, so symptoms often return, sometimes quickly, sometimes it takes months.

She may have a reproductive disorder, unfortunately this is common in laying hens.

My hen has diarrhea and just not feeling well. I cleaned her up and noticed it felt spongy. And it was red might be cause of the diarrhea keeping her moist down there. But I have her separated giving her vitamins. What can I do for her.
