Hi, I hatched out some eggs, that I got from, of all places Ebay.... oh well probably not good quality. I love crested Cream Legbars, so was wondering is there a point where the crest can be too excessive? I have one of my bunch (and her crest may stand up more as she reaches out through the wire and pulls her head back and that fluffs it up more) that has a pretty big crest.... she is young yet, dont mind my funky facial expressions just before this she was standing up looking at my eye ball like she was going to peck it.... I call her Phyliss Dyler.

Thank you for the pictures of Phyliss! Yes, if the crest impairs the Cream Legbar's vision, then it is too big. If you can see their eyes clearly, then they can most likely see well :D

I was thinking that I would put her in a seperate breeding pen with a cockeral so I can keep track of her babies, be interesting to see if they have larger crests like her.

HI PaintsRule!
Nice photos. You didn't say the age of your pullet...but I do think that they go through a phase when their crests look bigger...and then as they mature they 'grow into' their crests. It will be so interesting for you to track what she will produce. BTW welcome to Cream Legbars. Love the name that you chose for her.
