Unless you're talking about my opal x cream cross as being a project and therefore not allowed here? In which case I'm just going to ignore that. IMO the lavender birds are every bit as legit as the creams and golds.

I don't believe I've posted any birds here, actually? Certainly no mutts. The variety I am focusing on is lavender/opal, but I have mostly cream at the moment.

I consider it rude to have someone posting about mutts on a thread about legbars breeding to the SOP.

Would you go to a turkey SOP thread and discuss your mutt breeding program for chickens? It’s the same thing.

GOOD GRIEF Ralphie. When I posted I had forgotten that test hatch had the potential for crosses. I will go back and delete the post. FFS

ETA, oops. No option to delete it. Guess you're stuck with it. Nevermind the posts prior to that actively discussing crossing in crele Leghorns. Why didn't those incur your wrath as well, out of curiosity?

F1 Gold Crele LegBARS x Crele LegHORNS (which is what was being discussed) are more mutts than Opal Legbars, which are also a variety with an SOP.

No, there is not an SOP for Opals. I was on the CreamLegbar Club board that makes the SOPs.

We talked about other varieties but for a myriad of reasons did not go beyond Cream, Gold-Crele and White.

BTW none of them have an SOP approved by the APA yet. The one that will be first is the cream.
