This little guy/gal is ment to be a cream legbar but the colours are confusing me a little as to its gender. Sadly it's my only one that hatched can anyone help with the sex?

If it were a wellsummer, i'd say it was female by how dark the stripes are behind the eye, but as a legbar I don't know. I will wait for the other folks here to say....

Some CL have a lot of gold and I think it can sometimes wash out the head spot? I’ve seen some other male chicks similar to yours. Pullets almost always have the block brown chipmunk pattern, regardless of their quality. Better luck next hatch

I disagree. There are lower quality CL across the UK that do look like this chick, a lot do not carry the dilute gene. It’s a bit of a problem actually. The RBST has talked about it before.

How do they look as adults? I've never seen a pure Cream Legbar chick look like this. I bred them for 5 years and never got one like this.

I just got eggs off ebay they told me it was a legbar he was in a light blue egg but I agree he doesnt really look like a normal one
