Thanks that helps a lot. I already kind of know it but just want some others opinion but this one has been a lighter color from the beginning and now has a bigger comb than even my older chicks, is this a cockrel?

Cockerel. Welsummers have sex specific patterns so it's much easier to sex them. Black chest = male

That's really upsetting, I bought them as pullets and "she" has been our favorite. Since I live in town I'll have to find him a different home. My brother has chickens as well maybe he can foster him until me and my family can move out of town.

Sorry about your roo. Keep posting pics. Has happened to me and maybe one of my cureent pullets is a not so much a pullet!
I am wondering if mine have welsummer so thanks for the picture.

Maybe start asking around if anyone wants a welsummer to make olive eggers with cream Legbar- seems hatcheries are doing that. Speckled green eggs!

Someone might love him. it takes a while to check people out, see if they have a vet to vouch for them (for any pet) or friends in common. I placed the roo when he was adult and calm with a person at work who had a real farm I could go and see. Call 4H.
