I'd offer to start a thread but my eggs are on order (thanks Papa Brooder!) so I wont be able to post photos for about a year.
Okay, I just happened to look over some growing pictures yesterday. Here is a baby pict:

Here are two males... Their white headspots were shaped like a 'Heart' and an 'Arrow' respectively -- The little one underneath -- the white spot like a heart.
Here is a later picture

From that hatch....4-females and the two males pictured above. Of the two males, the little guy who is second from the right looking toward the floor-- is 'Heart', you can kind of see that his comb traverses his forehead diagonally.
Here he is growing

'Heart' and his sister 'Grace'
growing out in their pen....
And the one reposted from just the other day:

His 'Beauty' shot....but I think I should put an ugly shot in there too:

His comb was quite floppy. Here's a windy day when he was ducking away from the gusts

Lots of pictures, sorry, --- My conclusion is that:
1. grayish or silvery down on the male chicks is a good thing.
2. Once the boy babies start to get barring--it is so difficult for me to tell them apart-
3. Often when someone posts a cockerel in that in-between age...they are interchangeable with mine. I had to make sure I picked up photos of 'Heart' and not his father at the exact same age.
4. A floppy comb can straighten up - remarkable.
This is his growth from September 3rd to now--- Just 25 weeks On Monday -- so nearly 1/2 year.
Now, I'm looking forward to see the comparison pictures of yours -- once you get them and grow them out.
