Create sex linked Easter egger?

I have a nice Easter egger roo and a barred rock hen. I want to test out my new incubator and hatch a couple of my own eggs before I put expensive eggs in there. I'm just curious if you think I can create a sex linked Easter egger with these two? I read elsewhere that gray roosters don't produce good head dots.

Yes, you can. A non barred rooster to a barred hen will create black sex links. Males will be barred and females will be black from this mix.

Lots of good info there. My avatar EE roo has fathered several generations of BSL EE pullets. The pullets are all jet black, with very soft feathers, a tiny little walnut comb.

Very helpful thanks! I'm planning on getting Delaware's and new Hampshire's as well so I should be able to make red sex links too. I'll have to experiment and see what the offspring is like, sounds like fun!
