Creating another chicken addict :)

So funny, our neighbor's 4 year old girl is enthralled with our chickens! They said that's all she talks about. Today I invited them over to feed the chickens, and she and I checked the coop and found a teeny egg from one of our new layers. I gave it to the little girl - wrench! I wanted to keep it for a while! - and she was thrilled. Her dad said she wants to turn their shed into a coop. Pretty neat to be able to share a love of chickens

That is wonderful! The little girl next door, a newly-minted 1st-grader, loves visiting our chickens, too. She was the only one who could fit in a narrow space one time,to get one of the chickens, early in the summer, after we first let the "babies" outside. (We got rid of that glitch, no more hidden, stuck chickies, when we expanded the pen). It's a great addiction to share, especially with the next generation.
