Creating Coronation Sussex

Sorry, I didn't pay attention to your location. Sure wish they would let us ship. I didn't even pay attention to the Bantam either.

Sorry.

I do hope that you find a way.

I would worry about the roo squashing the bantam pullets LOL! Unless you want to do AI on them would be the way to go and keep one of the sons from this resulted breeding and go from there. Get a heir and a spare in case one dies.

I didn't read to well did I, LOL.

Hi,
To make Blue Columbian Sussex in the UK you need to introduce the Blue gene, suitable sources would be the Splash versions of Blue Orpington or Blue Australorp or Blue Faverolles bantams. Cull all cockerels from the first mating. All your pullets should be Blue, mate them to a Light Sussex male. Cull all cockerels and non blue pullets, retain Blue pullets & mate them to a Light Sussex male. Repeat this until you have birds of a good type, then use both sexes. Should take about 4 to five generations.

Hi, would that be a light Sussex cock to a blue hen or the other way around? Thanks
