My first coop, a tractor built on a rolling garden-cart platform, is named The Coop-Mahal, because it took the builder about 3 months to finish, what with changing plans, tweaking and improving, etc. It's built like a tank. The second one, a wire enclosure attached to a salvaged dog igloo and designed for my broody and her incipient babies, also took on a life of its own despite a real deadline (called "hatching"). The Coopiseum was finished just after the first baby hatched; it spent its first night in the regular coop because it was a day ahead of schedule. The baby's name is Early.

My 5 girls live in their "Lucky Chicken Manor" It's a 2 story house built to keep the raccoons out, with a horizontal sliding pop door. No wire on the top half.
