Name: Ace
Age: About eighteen, with a mature, level-headed nature that leads most to believe he is much older.
Short Backstory: Ace grew up in a rural town as a homeschooled 'farm boy' with a fairly decent childhood, except for the death of his mother from cancer, which is a sore subject for him that he normally keeps at the very back of his mind. He went out one morning to fight an oddly persistent Owl off of one of his laying hens, which it attempted to prey upon. With the many strikes of his broom, the bird would not stop, and finally, bit him. Left with a stinging pain, he fled with the chicken under his arm, and examined his wound afterward, noticing that, despite how deep it was, he did not bleed as profusely as one normally would from such a wound, a sign of therianthropy contamination. It was then obvious after a few days of strange avian features developing that he knew something was definitely different with that 'Owl' he'd encountered. Unknowing of that incident, his father still wanted the best educational and social environment, but since the recent loss of his mother, could not provide that at home himself. He promptly shipped Ace to Credens instead.
Powers: Is an extremely rare 'Avianthrope', meaning he can shapeshift into a bird; specifically, a Eurasian Eagle Owl. He has multiple stages of transformation that he can use. 'Beta', meaning he has subtle bird-like features to aid him with something minor (Raptor eyes for better vision, perhaps nonsensical feathers in certain areas), 'Gamma', meaning he is basically an anthropomorphic bird that has clawed hands on the bends of his wings, and lastly, 'Omega'; a full transformation. Gamma is a favored stage that he likes to use for attack if necessary, Omega is used for a swifter means of transportation than by foot.
Personality: An endearingly calm and nonchalant air seems to surround him, and he is always one to keep a cool head in crisis. He is social, friendly, and likes to be where the action is. He has a good sense of humor. He tends to sleep a lot, a common reason for him being late to class; the nocturnal nature of his Owl form showing through.
Other: Embarassingly sometimes to him, he will mindlessly chur, coo, or utter some other Owl-like sound of pleasure when something appeases him. Luckily, it is too quiet for most to notice.
Picture: I will have my reference sheet finished very soon. I don't like to steal artwork of someone else's OC to use as describing my own OC... takes away from the 'Original' aspect
