Here are the three straight run Creme Legbars we purchased this spring. What do we have?
 
Cream Legbars are auto sexing. The males are barred, the females are brownish.

Thanks! That helps. My Legbars certainly don't look like the pic you posted of the male.

It seems like my females still have some barring on the feathers, but am I not correctly identifying the barring trait? Still learning!
The females will have some barring. Females have one copy of barred, males have two. The two copies is what makes the males look like they do.

For the auto sexing to work, each parent needs to have the barred gene.

So, what do the male newly-hatched chicks look like, vs the females? Is it the difference in a spot on the head, like with other sex-linked chicks?
