Crested duck thread

Actually I take that back is probably mate him with an acona or a real West Indies duck
I meant breeding your non crested ducks to another breed, to show that they don't "carry" the gene.

I'm not sure if a mule duck would come out with a crest or not, I'd imagine it would if the drake had a crest.

probably but im not really trying to get mule ducks with my rouens im talking to the waterfowl assocation to present a new form of rouen with a white bib instead of brown ( like a snow white bib )

I really wouldn't call it a mule because only diffrent species such as horses and donkeys make mules which are not fertile unless bred with their brothers and sisters which only deforms the offspring of the said mules and then the offspring dies .

So think of it as diffrent breeds/ varietys

Unless you talk about Muscovys who are a diffrent species of duck .

Anyway I'm really kind of sad about my crested duck since her had a REALLY big white ring and I can't exactly breed him .

Anyway do you have a crested duck ?

.

That's exactly what we are talking about here.

Oops sorry , duhh I feel dumb now ,

No I'm not really gonna use a Muscovy I could really do that to my Muscovy females I've heard that it's more painful for them to pass a hybrid egg than a normal Muscovy egg which I think is a bit smaller than Rouen eggs .

But if I ever did I wonder what the baby would look like . ?
