Crested Swedish Flower chicken breeding

The OP in this thread suggests not. Repeating it does not make it true. And specifically as a landrace breed, what 'breeders' of your acquaintance think or do to interfere in their reproduction is, frankly, irrelevant.

The OP @thatakfarmgirl might find this page useful for some supported information,

The person that wrote that overview you linked is one of the first people that brought the vaulted skull issue to my attention. https://www.facebook.com/notes/swed...ndrace-vs-selective-breeding/210460850844378/

Maybe 8 years ago, a poultry friend of mine had a flock of SFH. She bred them for several years without incident until she headed up her pen with a crested rooster. She lost some of the chicks thereafter and I remember her telling me you couldn't breed crested to crested. Evidently the problem doesn't crop up with every chick, but enough to notice. I don't remember what she told me about it but I do know she was an astute breeder. I would ask her but she has passed.

The Swedish Flower Hen breed, unlike Crested Cream Legbars, Polish and others, is highly susceptible to having vaulted skulls with crested x crested breedings.
Selling chicks or eggs from crested x crested breedings is a sure-fire way to get a bad reputation among breed enthusiasts.
This breed is known for it's wonderful foraging skills. The birds with vaulted skulls and overly-large crests become neurotic and flighty because they can not see properly, putting them in danger of predator attacks.

Not exactly true. Legbars can get vaulted skulls as well, and vaulted skulls are very common in polish.
