Crevecoeur gender

Straight run.
We bought 4 purebred Amerucanas from her.
One died at a week old.
One was a cockerel.
One was a pullet.
And well one ended up being a crevecoeur cockerel.
So yeah not a great experience.

Ya buying straight run has it's risks.

That's frustrating.
Are the remaining Ameraucanas actually Ameraucanas, or Easter Eggers?
Do you have photos of them?
What pattern and colour variety are they, if pure?

They are real Amerucanas(not EE)
The cockerel is blue and the pullet is black

People are sold EE too many times when they ask for Ameraucana.
They're pretty. That's going to be a handsome young cockerel.

Well at least you have a breeding pair you can hatch out a few of your own but make sure you have some more hens for him so he doesn't over breed her

They're pretty. That's going to be a handsome young cockerel.

The breeder gave us 1 free Amerucana chick as compensation for the crevecoeur screw up and we bought 3 more Amerucana chicks at the time 3 weeks ago.
So far it looks like 3 blues and 1 black.
Still got a ways to go time wise to tell the gender though.

That's good!
I find Easter Eggers easier to sex because you can go by pattern instead of comb.
Ameraucana will be trickier.
Hopefully you get a better run this time.
