I'm not really in the mood to continue this argument since it is clear to me you're only going to pick out your own choice sentences of the words I say. You're still continuing to use murderous examples when I have repeatedly made clear this was not what I was referencing.

Besides, I'm not exactly sure what you're arguing. That you have the right to hate criminals? Okay, hate criminals. It's not like I can stop you. I was just hoping you'd think a little more open, I wasn't arguing your position. But you won't hear that.

I'm too tired tonight to go hunting up the statistics, but I would bet my bottom dollar that most murderers didn't commit murder as their very first crime.
Perhaps someone only meant to rob the store to get the food they couldn't or wouldn't earn, got away with it and did it again and again until OOPS! A gun went off and someone ended up dead.

A lot of cases do not get solved.A lot of women and children *disappear* and there are no clues even when the bones are found.

I was just talking to my dh about crime the other day having read the confessions of the tree trimmer killer here in Mt. Vernon Ohio. I really doubt his claim that he was just a burglar. Like the Shasta Groene case I think the man had his sights on the female child,and killed the others in the way. It is unfortunate that we really aren't that safe ANYWHERE.

DNA might help solve a crime,but it won't stop it from happening.Little comfort for me if my family is attacked.

I think life sentences are a waste of resources. Eye for an eye.

Drug addiction is a common excuse for a crime occuring. I think you should still be punished regardless of your addiction issues.It is sad,but sometimes jail is a better place for some...to get on the right path.And sometimes they just get out and get back to commiting worse crimes.

OK, I just Googled "Studies on Why People Commit Crime" and it gave me 13,700,000 results-how many more studies do you want done to find out why people commit crime?
