Hi last week i hatched 4 OEG Bantams only 5 out of 25 hatched, one died. that was the first sign i made alot of mistakes, which i did the first few days i had trouble controling the temp. so out of all the ones i hatched all of them had weak legs to start with one day they walk good one day they cant walk. and i often had to take them off their backs. right now two of them walk crippled one with his leg out on the side which i know is bad and my favorite chick a blue one started walking crippled yesterday :( today it can hardly walk. whats happening? is it their genes? is it my fault? is it the temp? food?(chickenstarter) i'm not feeding them grit yet is it that? i don't know i'm confused and i need help :(

Could it be spraddle leg?

Sometimes this can happen if the bedding in the brooder is too slippery for newly hatched chicks.
It can be easily treated with a splint.

If that's not what you're talking about, perhaps posting a picture would make it easier for someone to help? :)

Good luck. :hugs
