Crispy and crunchy japanese beetles. They okay?

I saw a pretty jap beetle on the ground at someone's house so I got a container and picked up the beetle, aswell as a bunch of dead ones. The girls loved them! Like crispy snacks!
The beetles eat sap from a tree, and the nice lady said she uses no insectisides or anything.

Beetles okay or should I avoid giving them anymore in the future?

I dont see how it could hurt! Mine have just recently discovered the Cadidids And they love em! Not sure how to tell them not to put them on the snack request list, cause when their gone it could be anywhere from 7-21 yrs before they get anymore. LOL

They're fine. Mine love them too! I put a bucket under the back porch light and often have a ton of them in the morning during beetle "season." Right now not so many are emerging here but in late spring WOW did I get a lot.

They love them, though they don't seem to be able to digest the legs. Those come out in the poop most of the time.
