What a difference 2 months of 'good living' makes! Great job. And he looks so much happier, too, not all hangdog and dejected. Just curious, how have his hooves come around now, have the heels gotten more normally configured? I've never seen a horse that bad that hadn't foundered, so I'd be interested to hear how it turned out. Anyhow, GOOD FOR YOU for giving him another shot at a real life

And, if such a thing were possible, may that woman be reincarnated as one of her *own* horses, grrrrr

He turned out relatively normal.

He never foundered, he just was almost a year old & had NEVER had his feet trimmed. He was also living in an 8x8 panel "pen" with no shade or shelter, with poop up to his knees/hocks & horrid thrush.

His heels are a little low because he's a Peruvian & they tend to have little heel, anyway. But overall, he's sound, fat & sassy.
