Croad langshan Experience?

Hello, i'm comtiplating on getting a couple of this cuties but I have no experience with the breed . Are they good layers ? Do the eggs really look plum color ? Any information is appreciated Thank you.

I'm in a different country but my Mum's Langshan was the sweetest, calmest, most beautiful fluffy chicken ever. I think the colour of the egg would be dependent on where you get them from as it needs to be something that is bred for.
