Crochet covered hangers

Does anyone have a pattern or instructions for crocheting covers on clothes hangers? I really like the ones that have clothes pins crocheted along the edge to hang scarves etc. too. Anyone's grandma ever make these?

My Mom used to make them all the time. I don't think she had a pattern, though. Looking at one here, it looks like she just did a shell pattern for the length of the wooden hangar for two rows and finished it off. Then she did the same again.
I can't tell if it is hand stitched togethed or crocheted a slip stitch enclosing the hangar, but the way she did it, the shells are round side up on both sides.
It looks like baby yarn and a small hook, maybe an a, b or c.
