Only thing is, I tied it of a bit early and it's a half inch too small. It was a good practice one and my 5 year old confiscated it for her tea set, lol.

I bet if you stretch it some it will make 6 inches, lol!! Give it a few tugs and crank out some more!!!! Yeah!!! Great job!

Em, just do a single crochet all around your square and it should come out @ six inches. I did that when I used the caron soft colored yarns. My dd said that is what she did when she made an afghan and it made it easier to put them together.

Yes, Ozark Hen jr. is a lot faster and smarter than mom. LOL She is flying through them.

I would love some 'crazy" colors as I want to use one color to go around each one before I put them all together for an afghan.

Wow. Everyone is progressing so well!! We have a lot of talent here. All the pretty colors.
And I say the wilder the better!

Scrambled Egg. I actually added to their inheritance today by 800.00 On a penny machine of all places. So it was a good morning. Course I'll probably end up putting it back at some point!

But I go just to relax, win or lose.

My dear goose Christmas was so good today. She stayed in the back yard for a change but was very glad to see me drive up.

She is such a character!!!

Ok, I need help!!! My mom tried to show me how to make a granny square today, but, one of her chemo meds is doing a number on her thought process, so if someone would please email or post pics of the separate rows in this square, maybe I could catch on then???? Please!!!!!

About the third row I went OOOooooooohhhhh. It's actually pretty easy now.

Now if I could just get the kids to sleep I could start on the rest.

When you are finished with an afghan, you should (at least what I was taught) wash it on a delicate (cold)cycle, using liquid fabric softener, then tumble dry on low. This softens up your squares and you won't have any strange smells.

Also, you can pack a dryer sheet in with your squares when mailing it.
