Morning Hookers!!! Probably won't get to be a race track hooker today, looks alot like rain...why is it clear ALL week and the saturday it has to rain?! lol!! Hopefully it will miss us and we'll get a race in!! I am working on a birthday afghan for my son's girlfriend, really loud and colorful so I'll take that with me if we go. Ya'll crank out those squares you have about 2 1/2 more weeks to get finished.

I hooked at the soccer game this morning. Clear day but soooo windy and cold! This square is so loose I'm afraid it'll be a bit big. DH said I should blow off the square and crochet a scarf since my ears were so cold...

It's cold, windy and rainy off and on today.... YUCK! I wanted to have a picnic at Ferne Clyff and hike. Can you hear the whiney voice I have? LOL I know.. I know... you all feel very sorry for me right? mhm... I just bet! I currently have two hens "quarantined" because they're broody and the roosters are horrific to them right now. I don't know if I can say this or not, so I apologize ahead of time and will understand if it gets removed, but it's the chicken version of a gang-bang when those hens go out into the yard. Every rooster who's ranging comes running over to her to do their thing. I get so mad... I know it's their nature but come on! It's pitiful, so I have them pinned up alone now. It's sad but much safer and I don't get emotionally involved in their "stuff". LOL

Good Morning!!!!

I woke up this morning and my incubator is PEEPING!!! I am sssoooo excited I can hardly STAND it!!!

I've got 50+ squares to send--- I keep thinking I'll send them, then get a chance to make 1 or 2 more---I love doing them!!

Darlene, thanks SSSOOO much for all of your hard work doing this...I can't imagine it at my house!! And thanks Mawchickiddie for taking it up!!

A thought just POPPED into my head--- some of mine are that Painted Desert thread that is beautiful FALL colors---- should I save those for the fall swap?----OK, all the thoughts are gone now....

well ladies I got two more cranked out and my hooks on fire. I am just burnin through that thread faster than nothing. But I tell you what I have to stop hookin out in the yard, this time I didn't fall asleep but I sat my stuff down for just a min to go chase of the geese from the dog pen, and I come back to the guineas and the turkins and kookoos unraveling my yarn everywhere. Sadly I could not get a pic cause my camera is at the shop, They are trying to retreive that other pic for me I ssoooooooo hope they can save the pics but theres no hope for my camera, so I go today to get a new one.

Great job for your first hatch.

My first hatch was 100% failure. It was so dissapointing. It was P.O.'s fault. (scrambled yolks & ruptured airsacs) It made me paranoid that it was the old Scary Bator or me, but I didn't want to give up. I put 3 local B.O. eggs in the Scary Bator Easter weekend. Two were fertile and one was clear. Late Friday night...early Sat AM one chick hatched and last night I assisted the second chick. The first chick was harched w/ yolk sac not absorbed. Not a sucessful hatch, but they seem to both be doing just fine.

I've been to tired to hook, but I'll pick it back up tonight.

I'm soo glad to hear you have 2 chickies out of those 2 eggs!! Tha's awesome news. And more due to hatch next weekend, right?

Ya'll I got 2 more squares done on the way to and from the TN Aquarium today. I', not counting them any more. I'm sure I'll have enough. Now I'm just trying to do as many as I can before time's up.

Kelly, watch out for them hen bangers. They can be dangerous!!
