She's young and loves the colors, they are a bit too loud for me, lol!!! Crank out those squares ladies, you're in the final stretch here. ")

OMG, that is adorable!!! Is that the fringe, or is it all"fringey"?? Can you tell us where to get the pattern?
Please?

Nancy

Home with a sick sinus infection today...thank you Nancy...here are some better pictures. I modified the pattern(from the book below) because I didnt like the cut and tie and use the ball of yarn idea on the pattern. What I wish I had done differently though is only fringe like every tenth one, I fringed every other one. Here is the pattern I made up...I used Bernat in several loud colors, they have many to pick from...just alternate whenever you feel like it. I chained 110 and then did a solid row of DC, chain 2 turn and DC put before you pull through your last part of the DC grap that first loop on the hook (there will be two at this point) and pull it with your fingers about 3 inches out, then finish the DC going through only the last loop still on the hook...now you have a loop hangin and sort of loose DC, do a regular DC next then repeat the loop one...I really would do more regular ones before you loop though, alot of yarn and alot of stopping and starting...change colors however often you want...when I change colors I stop and cut the loops and tie a regular double knot in the two pieces..make sure you tie a knot in the the two pieces where the colors change (one strand of the old color one of the new) go to the end and chain 2 and turn...now do a solid color row of SC..this will tighten up your work and keep it even, then repeat the fringe row and so on...here are pics and the book with the original pattern that I modified from and just yell if you need help...

Mawchick you are one busy hooker. You should post a pic of your new project.

Darlene, I just love that afghan also. Love, Love, love the bright colors. It's so cheery. I bet your son's girlfriend will love it.

Ya'll really inspire me to keep on hookin. I haven't finished very many projects in my lifetime and typically only crochet when it's winter and cold outside. I now want to learn more patterns. I started an afghan for my best friend and need to finish it. I'm only about half way done.

My dh stares at all the squares for the swap and I think he's jealous. I think I need to do a little hookin for him now. I know dd would love another afghan also.

Well, I was out of town for dd soccer tournament and didn't get any done. Too cold during the soccer game to hook. I will get mine in the mail soon. I will let you know when they are headed your way.

The Bantys didn't hatch in the "Scary Bator". I fear they were quitters while I was in Colorado.

Darlene, I hope you feel better soon.

Everyone have a great day!

Thanks Kim, I'll live, just all this crazy pine pollen lately has reeked havoc on my head, lol!

Got your pretty squares Nancy..updating the list..hope I have everyone's squares on the list, think I had copied an old list over and had to go back and add Ozark & Chatterbeak...so ya'll check and if you've sent them and they shouls have been here by now and I don't have you listed let me know. I have all the squares, in the boxes/envelopes you sent them in, in a big box so they might be here, lol! When they are all here, I will sit them all out in piles with your namesand a corresponding list and then pick up a square from the piles, matching the lists until I have 20 then tie them together, add the list and package them up. The colors are sooo varied that it will be fun to see what you get...I liked the red and greens ones I just saw in Nancy's squares, lol!! Anyway, should be fun so finish them up and get them in, less than ten days ya'll...crank 'em on out!!
