Me too, almost always the double crochet. I think all of us that like to crochet have a bunch of half finished projects. At least those that don't have a lot of time on our hands.
I know, now a bunch of you will respond that you always finish your projects and I will have to admit what a flake I am.
I just pulled the hook I used for the last one out of the drawer and it is a 6.5MM. I think I alternate between the 5.5MM, 6MM and 6.5MM. It really does depend of which one I can find when I get ready to start one. I always have several things going so sometimes it is a chore to find the right hooks and such.
SunnyDawn- you aren't a flake. Working on multiple projects is a sign of good multii-tasking ability and shows that you are highly creative. At least, that's what I tell myself.
My "sides" aren't even... I have to admit that I don't count the stiches and just eyeball it. But it's still "wavy"? I guess I should start counting... I am really enjoying crocheting! I hope everyone in my family wants a scarf for X-Mas next year!

Once you run of of necks to scarve, there's alot of charities that ask for things like baby beanies and blankets you can crochet for. I've done a few sampler afgans (where each square is a different stitch pattern) doing them in baby size 8 inch squares, means if you hate the pattern you didn't just do a foot of a longer afgan to decide it doesn't work out.

Well yea, I hate to admit she's right. Crocheting is more versitile but a sweater or afgan made by someone who's really handy with those knitting needles is a thing of beauty.
