Has anyone ever had a pullet go blind after its crook neck started to clear up? I have a 9 week old pullet that apparently got her neck or head stepped on by another pullet. She had severe crook neck for a week, but now she keeps her head up and walks forward. However, now she bobs her head from side to side like she is blind and can't quite make out things. I can tell she is blind because she doesn't move when I come up on her. Her eyes look clear, but I'm thinking her crook neck did something to her vision. Anyone else have that problem? Thanks.

It is highly likely the crook in her neck caused damage to her spine, or crucial nerves causing her to go blind. If not that, the other birds may have picked at her eyes while her neck was crooked because she was different and defenseless. Doubt there is any way to correct it unless it miraculously clears up with time. Some birds manage to cope with blindness, but need a lot of attention.
