Baby Chick With Crooked Neck

2 questions:

1. Can I only do vitamin E, then see if she gets better without the vitamin B? Or do I need both...

2. Is this the right one?
That’s the one to use. Give one daily. You can cut it open and give orally in food or in a syringe. I would get the B complex as soon as you can or can you the liquid vitamins that has thiamine in it. A little raw egg (mixed well) or cooked egg orally each day would be good as well.

The chick is doing well, she still has a crooked neck but I'm treating her daily and I'll post an update when she is completely healed.:)

Hey everybody, sadly, little miss wry neck still has a crooked neck. I've been giving her the vitamins daily but I wonder:

Is there another I could give her like selenium??

Maybe there is something in addition that she needs??

Also, I upped the dose a bit because she is older now.

Any advice is appreciated! :)

No need to increase the dosage I gave in post 5. The scrambled or mixed egg I recommended in my other post is enough for selenium. Hopefully it helps, but sometimes it doesn’t.

Thanks for the reply! If the chick doesn't get better in a couple weeks or so, should I try anything else?

Just make sure the chick is eating a balanced chick starter grower feed as most of it’s diet. The egg is always a good treat and selenium source. Bits of tuna, meat, Brazil nuts, and sunflower seed also contain selenium. Just don’t overdo it, since too much is not good, and she needs a balanced chick feed more.

Sounds good, Thank you!
