This chicken is 16 weeks old today. Her beak has been crooked for a while now. She still eats crumble. I am wondering if she is going to have issues as she gets older and if I switch to pellets.
That's not too bad, and some trimming may help her too. Pelleted feed may be very difficult for her though, I'd stick to crumbles, and higher protein rather than standard layer feed. You can have oyster shell in a separate feeder and avoid layer pellets entirely.
Having a deeper food dish and waterer helps a lot too. She may have trouble picking anything off the ground.
Is she getting worse, or is the beak staying as it is? Usually they do get worse, so watch for it.

Thank you. It hasn’t seemed to get worse since I first noticed it. I will keep an eye on her.
She does eat out of a feeder that keeps the level of food at about 1 1/2 deep.
How does one trim a beak?
Have at least one food dish that's two inches or more deep. Also do check her body condition and growth rate often. She needs monitoring to watch for signs of malnutrition, so you aren't having her starve!

I have a crooked beaked silkie, shes much worse than that and shes great.. I give her softened crumble twice a day.. Once AM once PM.. She eats dry during the day and pecks around.. I trim her monthly too.. And file.. No biggie.. I got her free, this woman was going to kill her for it.. I said 'no way! '
