earlier i had read(and before) about trimming beaks, a couple of months ago i got a silkie that was a year old and didn't notice that her beak was cooked til we got home. she eats find and seems to be doing ok, is okay to leave her beak the way it is or should i trim it??

robinh, it depends how bad it becomes. Eating and drinking are the main concerns for your chicken. If the top is too long and hangs down over too much, then being careful and trimming the clear part like a fingernail will help. Just be careful not to trim too much.

If eating and drinking are not a problem, then it's not a real problem to worry about.
