Crooked neck and walks in circles......help our girl

Oh.........not a Silkie. I believe she's a Sex Link. We have RIR's, laced or barred Rocks(sp?), I dont even remember the others right now........... She's of med size, golden color, 100% personality, always the first one to great you at their pen-----which is why I figure she may have gotten the bite of poison? or whatever.............. everybody else is fine though I need to dust for mites I think..........and I am changing out the litter asap even though the plan ws to wait until spring........

Well, the girls got 90% of my day today...........cleaned the coop good and changed out all of their pellets and scratch with new fresh...... I got aviacharge2000 and followed directions from you guys plus added it to the coop's waterer as per instructions.....that seems to be some awesome stuff with all that is in it. I also made them a sand box to dust in.....and I got the dust for the Northern ? Mites....... I need to administer that tomorrow: I dont want to do it! I am so afraid of freaking them out!(any tips here?).

So the hen is with me in the house again right now. She was seeming better this afternoon, ate everything I gave her. Coming on dark she found her place by the door to lay(where I pick her up from every night now) and then it really kicks in. Like in the morning, she almost seems drunk and her head just stays upside down and goes up and down. I didn't notice her fall today

I expect that, from what I 've read today, she'll either get better fast or go down hill fast.

I am still thinking good chance of head injury as many suggested.......just makes more sense as she almost seems to have brain damage..... But we are hoping and praying for her and are going to do everything we can to help her.

she might not be able to eat well on her own..
you might need to hand feed her and give water..
give the water by drops on beak..
and you can moisten the feed with hot water, add some egg yolk..and roll into pellets..place in mouth and stroke the neck downwards..
maybe if you hold the food close to her,
hopefully, she will be able to eat and drink on her own.

One of my chicks did this...I think it was drain bammage too. She did recover and manage to be upright again, although she was a bit wonky.

The link above is to articles on various causes of the neurological symptoms you are describing.
It MIGHT be a head injury (altho with a non crested breed it is somewhat rarer as they would have had to have had a fairly serious knock to her noggin to have caused this) ... the silkie article (Alan Stanford >browneggblueegg) uses prednisone, combo vitE/selenium and b vitamins (the polyvisol is often used in substitution for the B vitamins > do NOT indiscrimitely give "several drops a day" as vitamin A is retained and to0 much vit A will hamper the vit E being absorbedree or four drops in beak a day in beak then taper off the next week)>vit E can be absorbed only when there is sufficient selenium which is why it is advised to give the COMBO (prick open human pill and squeeze out contents) ....
the prednisone is only for brain inflammation and one of the drawbacks is that it lowers the immunocompetancy of the bird > since this is not a silkie (and you have no evidence of a sever head injury) please do NOT use this (as a bacterial agent might be involved )
You can follow the dosage and outline on the vitE/selenium (please follow it to the letter and do not overdose) > this is known to be helpful in many situations where neurological symptoms are evident to help not only in recovery but also in cases of toxicosis or mycotoxin and is helpful to prevent permanent damage.

Stop feeding birdseeds... stop the bread soaked in milk and any other tablescraps. Offer plain live culture yogurt. Glad to see you got the Avia Charge.
Is the area you are in cold (when salt is strewn on streets and such then the risk is there is you traipsing this in to the area your birds are in... salt toxicosis presents with the same symptoms as silkie crookneck)
