This is Miss Terri ( because what kind of chick she is, is a missterri). She's 3 weeks old, and about a week ago, I really noticed her neck seemed crooked. But I didn't worry too much because she's .. different.
Well,I was noticing that the neck seemed to be getting more crooked....

Then tonight, I noticed it looked realy bad. As the chest feathers are coming in, you can see that they look crooked also. They look swirled.

On her shoulderblades? right above the wings, the skin is pink, and swollen looking, and there is no feathers on that area. (pictures are a little blurry, but I think you get the idea..

and right under her ear, on one side only, is the same bulging skin/no feather thing.

I went to check on them tonight, and she was in a corner, and another chick was laying directly on top of her. I reached in and picked her up- which is very unusual, because usually they all run screaming from "the hand". She didn't fuss while I held her, either.
I did see her eating and drinking. .. but, I'm getting a bit worried.

any ideas?

Give her a couple of drops, day and night, of Poly-Vi-Sol without iron (a children's liquid vitamin). Just drop it into her beak. Do not try to force it down her throat. Let her swallow it. I had a Buttercup with that same problem and we did that for her. It worked. I don't know if your chick has the same issue as my Buttercup, but the vitamins won't hurt her. We gave the vitamins to Buddy for as long as we had her.
Do you notice her wobbling when she walks?

Once I really noticed how bad it looked, I did decide to go out tomorrow first thing and get baby vitamins. She doesnt wobble when she walks, but she does have to adjust her direction, because her head is off to the side, so her feet don't quite take her where her head is pointing.
I just didn't know if this is something that would make her life miserable, or if we'd need to cull her..( Oh I would NOT like to have to do that)
